We have recently sold our house. The new owners are very concerned about a small amount of water in the crawl space. The water is in the area of the hose bib. There was a small puddle maybe 6 feet in diameter 1/4 inch deep on top of the vapor barrier. They want to install a sump pump. We feel that this would be a waste of money. The house is 9 years old and the crawl space is very well ventilated. Incidently we have had 16 inches of rain above normal so far this year. The new buyers dont want to have any problems when they re-sell. Wouldnt you rather by home that is a little damp underneath, than one with a sump pump? Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Crockett
