Recently we had a Reliance Wtr Htr installed and ever since we have the rotten egg smell coming from our water. Never had it before this water heater was installed. Had it bleached by installing plumber, worked for a couple of weeks, then back to smelling. The hot water is by far the worst, I assume because it is heated. What can be done to eleaviate this annoying & embarssing problem. We don’t even want to ingest it!! Softener people say it is the plumbers problem, plumber says softener should take it out. Plumber says he can remove a rod in the heater, but it will negate the warranty. Need help in solving this problem.

Hire a new plumber, one that is a contractor.
Replace anode rod with new and your problem will be over.
