I live in a home that is less than 1 year old. After some recent rains I Noticed dampness around some of the floor drain holes and in some hairline cracks in the floor. When I checked the sump pump, I could feel a pulsation in the power chord, so apparently the pump is working. However, the sump pit was filled with water to the top. Is this normal?
