Is copper pipe better than pcv?

The only place that PVC is useful is in swimming pool piping, because of the chemicals; lawn sprinklers since they have intermittent usage and the cost is less; and long 1 1/4 and larger service lines because of the cost. PVC is not rated for interior use, and is not acceptable for hot water piping anywhere. CPVC is used in residences for hot and cold water piping. Its only redeeming value is that it is cheaper and inexperienced laborers can install it.: Is copper pipe better than pcv?
