I HAVE AN A.O.SMITH ELECTRIC HOT WATER HEATER. IT WAS INSTALLED IN 1995 IN A NEW RESIDENCE. I WANT TO KNOW IF IT COULD HAVE THE FAULTY DIP TUBE AND WHETHER I SHOULD DO ANYTHING AT THIS TIME (IM NOT HAVING PROBLEMS YET BUT I DONT WANT TO LATER EITHER. I READ AN ATRICLE IN OUR PAPER STATING A.O.SMITH WAS ONE WITH THEM AND GAVE YEARS IN WHICH THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN MADE AND MINE FALLS IN THOSE YEARS ACCORDING TO THE ARTICLE. SEND ME INFO ON HOW TO PROCEED AND WHETHER TO PROCEED. THANKS
Well Fred if you wanted to find out if your water heater was one that could have or does have a faulty Dip Tube, all you have to do is call the phone number on the side of your water heater and the AO smith Rep. will tell you. They will also help you get it repaired. Yes it is that easy, Good luck your friend the pipexpert…
