My whole house starts thumping whenever I turn on the water at a toliet, bathroom sink or even the bathtub. The kitchen sink, farthest pluming fixture from the water main, doesnt do this. If I turn on kitchen sink, let the water pressure ease up, and then use any of the other faucets, there isnt a problem. After about 30 seconds of serious thumping, the vibration will stop. I have single story house with the main water pipe traversing the house in the attic.What is happening? How do I stop it? Thanks.
