Dishes that are cleaned in our 4 month old auto dishwasher have a fishy odor to them. Hot water direct from the tap does not appear to smell. Some time ago we had trouble with tan / light brown colored granules in our (hot only) water lines. It clogged most of our appliances. All lines have been flushed and no granules have been seen in months. We use city water with copper piping. Hot water heater is gas fired. There is no filtering system on our house water.
