The plumber says my gas water heater has a large build-up of hard water which is making it ineffecient and the amount of hot water is decreasing. It sounds like boiling but the water isnt that hot–Id guess about 115 to 125 degrees F. I cannot clean the hard water out. Are there any heaters manufactured that have cleanouts? Im told STATE used to mfg one but discontinued. Var
