I am responsible for a number of hot water heaters installed in the past 10 years. I would like to get a handle on the scope of the deteriorating dip tube problem that I understand affects almost all HW heaters. When did the defective tubes start getting produced? Are they still being used? Do the replacement tubes have the same problem? How long can the defective tubes be expected to last under normal use? Thanks
