I just replaced the seats and stems in my shower. The diverter valve stem wont divert hardly any of the water to the shower head. Help please…..

Replace the tub spout with new.
Remove the old one, and replace it with same.
          Good Luck,
          Bill

Bama…The last ans. I think the guy was confused. You don’t have a diverter spout you have a diverter in line with the body. I’ll take a shot at this and probably say that there is a good possability that the washer or part of the seat broke off inside and are lodged in the diverter assembly.Second possability could be a clogged shower strainer or head…Those water saver holes are pretty small. When you did your stem repairs alot of crap could have clogged in there. Third possability…Is it a temperature actuated shower body? If there is a clog I usually close up the discharge areas(spout and shower head)and back wash through the stems I’ve had alot of luck with that good luck B
