My house is about 8 years old. When I moved in all 3 toilets worked fine. Lately I find that I have to flush them 2 or 3 times to get them to elimate waste completely. A local home improvement guy told me that probably all 3 were partially plugged. This doesn’t make sense to me, as the water does not rise in the bowl, the waste tries to empty
        but just comes back.

        Can anyone help?

IT SOUNDS LIKE THE WATER ISN’T GETTING TO THE BOWL FAST ENOUGH. THIS COULD COME FROM THE AGE OF THE TOILET AND THE FACT THAT OVER TIME THE HOLES UNDER THE RIM OF YOUR COMODES ARE BLOCKED WITH CHEMICALS THAT COME THRU THE WATER. YOU CAN TAKE A FINISH NAIL AND CLEAN OUT THE HOLES. THIS SHOULD CLEAR THE LINES AND ALLOW THE NEEDED PRESSURE TO COMPLETE THE FLUSH.

            Thanks Sue, I’ll try that.
