I have a Bradford White gas hot water heater that is about 5 years old. I have started experiencing a reduction in hot water pressure throughout the house. Cold water pressure seems fine. If a shower is on full hot and another tap is turned on hot, outflow at the shower head goes way down. The house has 3/4″ copper plumbing throughout. Ideas?

When was the last time you flushed the blow down valve?

I’m embarrassed to ask, but what is the blow down valve, and how might flushing it fix the problem?
