We are remodling and removing an interior non weight bearing wall. The problem is that a hot and cold supply and a a 2 inch drain need to be moved. In our region of the country is it OK to put the plumbing on an outside wall? What are the options?
If you absolutely must move the water and drain lines to the outside wall try this. Insulate, vapour barrier and drywall exterior wall. Then build a small chase in a convenient place to run your pipes in. This will ensure that your pipes will not freeze as they are on the warm side of the vapour barrier, the drywall prevents you from putting holes or burning the plastic…….Lou
