We just had a well drilled. Its 405 foot with they say 60 gallons a min. the water comes up to 64 foot below the sruface in the hole. We are looking at pumps now and would like to get an idea of prices out there. We looked at a Goulds 1hp stainless sub w/ control box for $580 including tax. Now we check another place and they want $418 for a Meyers 1hp etc etc.. is there that much of a difference in quality or is the place thats selling the Goulds overpriced? anyone out there know what these things run? Thanks ALOT !! Todd

I have installed many of both. whichever one you buy get a 3 wire pump not a 2 . because most pump problems are with the capicator which is in the house with a 3 wire pump . and a 2 wire is built into the pump.so test of a 2 wire pump requires pulling out pump.

: I have a goulds 1 hp pump set at 168 feet. static level is 78 ft. with an air test for 1 hour at 12 gal/min. The driller says the well will put out more than that but of course he could not guarantee it. Can you tell me what the Goulds pump will produce at that level so that I can design a sprinkler system within its capacity.
