MY TOILET LEAKS FROM THE HANDLE EVERY TIME IT IS FLUSHED.I THINK THE TANK MAY BE FILLING TO MUCH. COULD THAT CAUSE SUCH A PROBLEM?

: MY TOILET LEAKS FROM THE HANDLE EVERY TIME IT IS FLUSHED.I THINK THE TANK MAY BE FILLING TO MUCH. COULD THAT CAUSE SUCH A PROBLEM? it could be that it fills too fast and splashes back up. if so turn shut off vale partially off.or the fill valve in tank is spraying up while filling. or float level is set too high.
