I replaced my dishwasher air gap and now much more water is coming out of it than before. Could I have done something wrong in installing the new air gap?

Make sure the outlet side of the airgap is not clogged, this is the 7/8 line that goes to the wye in the drain or your main drain 11/2 or larger could have a blockage, or if a hose is used make sure it is not kinked.

What we discovered was that where
the water was being discharged into the sink had some kind of build-up of gunk. When I stuck my finger down into the sink I was able to clear out the gunk from the inlet with me finger. Thanks!
