Thought Id go ahead and tackel a leaky tub in my home. I popped off the caps, removed the screws, loosened the first nut, then loosened and removed the stems. Next I replaced the washer on each end of their respective stems. Then I removed and replaced the seats on each. After everything is back togather I still have the same problem! Any suggestions at this point would be most welcome.
WELL YOU GAVE IT A GOOD TRY MAYBE YOU SHOULD CALL YOUR LOCAL PLUMBING COMPANY AND HAVE THEM FIX YOUR VALVE. WHAT YOU HAVE DONE SHOULD FIX THE LEAK AND IF IT IS STILL LEAKING YOU MAY HAVE A BAD VALVE OR THE SEAT IS NOT SEATING RIGHT. SAVE YOURSELF FROM GOING CRAZY AND LET THE PLUMBER FIGURE IT OUT FOR YOU. THE COST ON SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS ABOUT $60.00 PLUS PARTS IF STEMS ARE BAD…GOOD LUCK YOUR FRIEND THE PIPEXPERT…
