I live in a suburb of Chicago in a home is approximately 50 years old. The water pressure is so low, that we cannot open two faucets or flush the tiolet and run a faucet at the same time, for the water pressure drops greatly. We have a combination of copper and galvanized pipes throughout our home. How do I determine if our community is providing my home with addequite water presure? If they are providing addequite pressure, how can I rectify this problem? I have heard that there is a way to remove mineral/rust deposits in galvanized pipe without replacing them. Is this something that a homeowner can do himself? I beleive this may be a problem within my community due to the fact that my neighbors have mentioned that they have the same problem, and that the faucet in my home that is approximatley 7 feet from the water supply line is just as bad as the rest of the home. Thank you Bob
