I recently connected the drain hose from our washing machine under our laundry soak sink via a T-connection so it no longer simply rests in the sink. Unfortunately, the washing machine will no longer hold water. Instead it runs directly out the hose/sewer line even though I have the hose running up to nearly the same height it would have when it was lying in the sink. Is it possible to connect the drain hose directly to our existing home plumbing?

This is to prevent it from siphoning the drain on the washing machine.Good luck
