Do you need to secure the motor on a pedestal style sump pump to the discharge pipe, or is it better to just have the only support be the bottom of the basket and the actual discharge pipe thru the pump. The unit is quiet, but when it runs, you can hear it in the plumbing upstairs as it shakes the pipes?
