The drain under the kitchen sink leaked badly and was replaced. As soon as the pipe was installed the water no longer drains. Could I have installed the pipe wrong?

Try snaking the line BUT if you can I would very strongly suggest you contact a licensed plumber to water jet these lines rather then just snaking them.

You see a kitchen (especially a kitchen) is prone to soap scum build up and a kitchen line even more so with the grease deposits that accumulate on the piping walls.

Snaking will open the line by punching a small opening in this pipe water jetting will not only scrub the pipe to a like new condition it will flush away the deposits.

Good luck and have a great week end.
