ParticipantThe steam vapor is turning into water and is not being allowed to drain back to the boiler un-impeaded. Its a gravity flow all pipes lead back to the boiler with a pitch 2-3 stories high. then is TRAPED and allowed to flow back into the bottom of boiler. new unit may be shorter than old need additional piping call a union HVAC or PLUMBER these problems arent easily solved.Mark Tiernan Bros. Until the hissing stops? you should let them hiss untell nno air is left in the line. If you use a small hose and lead it into a bucket of water you will see if it is water of air and water comeing out. every year this should be done (fall) . Thank you for any help.

Participant: : Several of my radiators are not hot. How can I get them to work.?? Steam will not flow into a radiator until it can freely push the air, in front of it, through the steam trap. something is stopping the flow of steam, a closed valve, failed steam trap, water trapped in improperly pitched pipes, or perhaps a defective main air vent. . Thank you for any help.
