I have a leaking faucet, I have install a new washer and it still leaks. What is the problem

: I have a leaking faucet, I have install a new washer and it still leaks. What is the problem: check the seat. Its what the washer seals against.use a flashlight to view it with the stem out,also try running your finger nail across the seat closely looking for a snag.If you find that the seat is bad you can either replace it or file it down if its not to bad, then reinstall it. hope that helps
