I would like to replace two steam radiator(70 yrs.old)with radiators I can recess in the wall.How do I determine the size of the new radiators?

Cast iron radiators were rated for their output in square feet of equivalent direct radiation. They were tested to determine how much heat was given off for the size of the radiator. You can read instructions for how to determine the output at: http://www.aresinc.com/Hydronic/rad/radlook.htm
