Is there any way that my new Price Phister bathtub faucet can be preventing hot water flow to that faucet? It’s brand new copper piping in a new addition. The plumber assures me that the pipes are fine and blames the faucet. Both vanity-sink faucet and bathtub are fed by the same hot water pipe, and the vanity is fine. PPhister gave me a new cartridge to try but were confident that it must be the pipes. Any ideas?

Something could have gotten into the hot water port of the faucet before it was installed, or I have seen cases where the csting process left a web in the opening that the water could not get through. In either case it requires that the hot water pipe be removed from the faucet and the faucet body checked for the problem.
