Suddenly lost hot water flow. Have good cold water flow. When hot water faucet open, get a trickle of only cold water, never gets hot. Is this a dip tube problem? How can I tell?

You didn’t say if this was affecting the whole house or just one fixture, I am assuming just one fixture.
I do not think this is a dip tube problem because a defective dip tube would still give you good flow, just not much hot water.
You probably have debris in the hot water line or the shut off valve for that fixture.

If its the one fixture, sounds like a jammed jumper valve (tap washer)
