we are looking for info reagarding using plastic instead of the metal fins for our baseboard heat. any suggestions, any store ideas where we can purchase?

Since plastic has a poor heat transfer value, and the fins have to be thicker than metal to give the necessary strength and rigidity, it would not be advisable except in a new installation where additional length could be installed to compensate for it.: we are looking for info reagarding using plastic instead of the metal fins for our baseboard heat. any suggestions, any store ideas where we can purchase?
