I moved into a new house and it is heated by hot water. I found that the pressure went over 30 pbi before water is heater over 140F and the P&T valve would open and leak. I have a diaphragm expansion tank and it seems to work as the top part of the tank (it seems to be up-side-down) is warm when the burner is going. I have a Groudfos pump to circulate the hot water. I have been told the problem is either a)faulty expansion tank, or b)faulty PRV valve that allow too muchcold water into the systme or c) too much air in the system and I have to drain the whole system. Any advise? Thanks a million
