my dishwasher will not clean the dishes properly. the soap pellets do not disolve completely. i have tried a cycle with CLR and also vinegar with no positive results.what can i do before calling a repair shop ?

most dishwashers have filters on the hot or cold flexible hoses that connect to the water supply, and these may be blocked. First turn off the the water supply to the dishwaher and then disconnect these hoses and make sure these filters are clean.
