My water is very soft. It corrodes everything quite quickly. My water heater is so corroded around the threads on the elements that it wont be long before I have to replace it. Is there anything out there that it can be replaced with that would be less prone to corrosion? I currently replace the elements about every 18 months. The latest elements that I bought appear to have a plastic type thread. Can I buy a heater that also has plastic threads?
