Have slab leak. Located small round hole in copper pipe. Removed 3-inch section. Have no flexibility in pipe. Using two 2-inch couplings to repair. Question . . . is 1/2 inch overlap of couplings on pipe enough?

Go to supply house and request slip couplings. These have no internal stops and will slide completely over one pipe, than set in place full length, slide couplings in place.

The one problem you may have is keeping the torch running if the excavation is deep or small. Use a hair dryer set on cold and use it to circulate the burnt gases out of the pit and bring fresh air in;: Have slab leak. Located small round hole in copper pipe. Removed 3-inch section.
