How do you go about leveling a toilet? The floor in the room is not level and Im not sure of the best way to shim up one side. Any tips would be appreciated.

Any tips would be appreciated.There are plastic shims on the market for the purpose. Any type of rigid, flat plastic piece will do. Unbolt the toilet first, put a level on it side to side and front to back and go at it. When its level, tighten the bolts again and caulk around it.
