My hot water stinks like rotten eggs, when I turn it on in the morning. Help!!!!I just installed a new water heater with a new gas line, the gas line has been turned on the water heater is new and the pilot light is trying but nothing is happening there is no gas smell either. Help!!!!

Help!!!!cut off gas to heater, run water until it cools down, cut off water and drain it down a few gallons. remove some fitting from the top of heater to allow pouring a couple of gallons of chlorine(bleach) reconnect heater and turn on water. run water at each hot water faucet until you smell chlorine. allow this to stay in pipes at least several hours 24hrs better. then run each hot faucet out until clear and odor free water comes. relight heater
