: I would like to install a dishwasher in an interior pantry (no exterior walls). How concerned do I need to be about ventilation. Will I need an exhause fan to run a dishwasher in a confined space?normally you do not need exhaust vent for diahwashers

My concern is build-up of humidity in the space around the dishwasher. It would essentially be built into the pantry under shelves with the pantry door closed. Would enough humidity build up to cause damage to the wood surrounding the dishwasher?
