      Wondering what could be the problem. Bathing I only get one-fourth the tub filled before water turns cold-warm. Use to get more hot water. Should I replace hot water heater or look for another problem?

Should I replace hot water heater or look for another problem?Check to see if the dip tube Has broken. Cold water is added through a tube that extendsto nearly the bottom of the tank. This prevents mixing of hot & cold.

Should I replace hot water heater or look for another problem?Check the dip tube. Cold comes in a tube extenting to nearly the bottom. If too short Incoming water will mix w/ the hot.
