Water Presure

I own a three family home connected to City water and sewer. The water presure seems to be fine on the 1st floor. On the 2nd floor it is not to bad as long as no one else turns on the water. On the 3rd floor it just seems to run very slow. This is cold water only. Using Hot water on all 3 floors seems fine. I figure this is because of the Hot water tanks adding presure. Is there anything I could do for the cold water in order to add presure short of having a new mail line run from the street to the house.Look forward on hearing your responce.Todd

Todd:–Install a large captive air storage tank(the bigger the better) it will store water at a reasonable pressure for you until you are ready for its use. You can install more than one if you have really poor on demand water supply. Or you can insist that the city do something about your poor pressure situation…in either event, lots of luck…Bud..I own a three family home connected to City water and sewer. If you have good water pressure on the hot for the full time of a shower and not just for a couple of seconds, but poor in the cold, it would appear you have an obstruction in the cold supply. Do you have galvanised water pipes in the building ?? Do you have a stop cock on each floor..is it fully turned on ?.
