I have an American Standard single handled water mixer in my shower. This is a newly installed water mixer with copper piping in the walls which tie into galvanized pipe in the crawl space. The other day, as I turned on the hot water in the shower, the hot water pressure was extremely low and had a slight pulsating pressure. There was no other hot water in use at the time and the cold water pressure was 3x that and without the pulsating pressure. the sink the this bathroom did not have reduced pressure and there was no pulsating pressure. The sink is furthest from the water heater and then the shower. Could a piece of rust become lodged in the mixing valve to reduce the pressure? This is and anti scald valve that is supposed to balance the water pressure when someone flushes.
