Central Heating / Water Heating Time Clock

I have just purchased a house which has Oil Central Heating controlled by a Sangamo Mechanical 24 hour time clock. I want a 7 day programme time clock, so have bought a Horstmann LC27 (2 channel 7day) electronic clock. How to I know if I can use the 2 channel facility on this clock. i.e. Central Heating & Water only heating. There is only one circulation pump, and I dont know if the system will heat the hot water by Gravity. What should I look for to find out or what other ways are there to get this to work?
