I am having a hell of a time trying to figure out why the water in the bowl does not go down but the tank empties and the bowl does the swirling thing but does not give the suction noise showing that all is being disposed of. Its almost like I am not getting enough swirl for it to go down. Any suggestions, I have already snaked, plunged, and replaced some things. I NEED HELP!!!!

Are you missing one of those little plastic freshners, that hangs on the side of the bowl?…. sounds like you have one lodged in the outlet, they are a real pain to remove. post a bit more info (water raise in bowl, does it drop straight away?? etc )DISCLAIMERAll advice is given with-out seeing the job, and hence all advice MUST be taken as advice with limited knowledge on the exact situation. Insert the wire into the perforations and rotate it to loosen built-up sediment. Check for a blocked siphon jet in the bowl passageway and unplug it in a similar way using a as above. Be careful not to scratch the bowl surface when performing this operation. Also check to see if the water in the flush tank is filling up to the waterline setting. If not, adjust the float rod using the adjusting screw if available or by bending the rod slightly. Bend the rod only if it is of round brass construction. The float rods in most modern water closets are constructed from plastic and may not be bent. In extreme cases, a blocked drain, building sewer or septic tank may cause this problem. A mild deliming solution poured down the overflow tube in the tank may help too. Please abserve all safety precautions when usinf cleaning solutions.Good luck

NO responsibility can or will be taken. And yes, I am a licensed plumber with my own business in Brisbane AustraliaThe tank does dispense the water into the bowl and the bowl does the swirling motion but it dies down and nothing gets taken down so another words it seems like there is not enough pressure or suction to take down the water. I have adjusted the water level to see if there was too much water but that is not the case. I do have one of the blue things in there and it is sitting in the corner of the bowl but it is the dissolving kind. I dont know what else to tell you except that I have replaced all the insides of the tank and even gone as far as replacing the back close off valve, snaked and plunged to till my arms could plunge no more. Any suggestions maybe taking the whole toilet off and checking if there is any blockage or should I try like a drano in the overflow tube. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Henry

If not, would you mind sharing the make and model of your toilet & tank. Has the problem always existed with this bowl? Im in the sanitaryware industry. Ive designed many and most. If its a new bowl and has had this problem from the outset, then it may be whats known as a vent leaker, though you might also expect to detect the odor of sewer gas in this case. There are other possibilities as well. Reply if you wish.
