MemberHave an oil fired wet bottom Peerless boiler…about two minutes after burner comes on a boiling sound can be heard near the base of the boiler…the sound will continue until about 20 seconds after the burner shuts off. Just replaced the target and blanket and did not solve the problem. It is a problem because the sound carries through the baseboard heating pipes. My next attempt to solve the problem will be to place some fire brick parallel to the flame. Would appreciate any suggestions/ideas.

GuestTom,Sounds to me like you have sediment problems in the water jacket. Clean it out and I am sure your problem will cease.: Have an oil fired wet bottom Peerless boiler…about : two minutes after burner comes on a boiling sound : can be heard near the base of the boiler…the sound : will continue until about 20 seconds after the burner : shuts off.
