I HAVE A LOUD VIBRATING NOISE COMING FROM MY ATTIC WHEN WE TURN ON WATER IN THE HOUSE OR FLUSH A TOILET. IT DOESN’T STOP UNLESS WE LEAVE THE HOT WATER KNOB ON FOR A LITTLE WHILE ITS BEEN GETTING WORSE FOR MONTHS.EVERYONE SAYS ITS AIR IN THE LINES BUT HOW DO WE GET IT OUT? OR COULD IT BE ARE WELL PRESSURE.
Louder: Somewhere in your water piping system there is a valve with a loose washer that is fluttering between the end of the stem and the seat. It can make a horrendous noise like a machine gun being fired. It could be the main valve that turns the water off to your apartment or home…with a little experimenting, I’m sure you will find it. Lots of luck..Akmed
Make sure all the water shut off valves at each fixture are all the way open (close and then re-open them), then make sure that the water control valves (the float valve) in all the commodes open and close fully and water does not keep running out of them.
After that, your search for the cause will get harder.
