I need to replace the flapper in a Crane model Oxford toilet vintage about 1960. Someone else has removed the old flapper, threw it away and tried to install a standard ball type=which leaks slightly. I am a small home remodeler and not a plumbing expert. I can’t seem to find any local stores that carry Crane parts–Spokane, Washington. Thanks for your advice. Don Kelley

Don, Does the original flapper have a slot in the back of the flapper that fits over a tab in the tank? If it does the #57 crane flapper form lavelle industries will replace the original one. If you can not find one go to our web site and email me and I can help. Good luck
