I have taken apart and cleaned the soleniod valve. The valve seems to work properly. If I manually fill the dishwasher the recycle-drain pup works fine. Is there possibly another filter or componant that Im missing?

Terry:–Look on the schematic diagram that may be on the back or side of the cabinet to see where and how the solenoid valve is activated. There should be a connection through the timer and a water level switch. If either of these items are not working, or the water is turned off, you wont get water to enter the washer….Bud

Had same problem. Solution: A small object had become lodged under the float device in the front left corner of the dishwasher, which prevented the float from dropping down into place. Therefore, the dishwasher thought it was full of water when in fact it was empty. Removed object, dishwasher works fine.
