        Hello,
I have recently discovered a pool of water around the toilet in my master bathroom. I have shut-off the the valve behind the toilet in hopes of stopping the water. But, after a few hours the pool of water returns. Do I have a crack pipe, or how should I attempt to tackle this problem, before I have more excessive water damage to my bathroom. Please respond ASAP!! Thank you, Rick.

          RICK,
The information that you gave tells me that the bolts on the toilet tank are leaking. These are the bolts on the inside of the tank at the bottom. These bolts attach the tank to the bowl. Either they are not tight, or the washers are shot.
Second possibility is that the tank has a hair line crack in it, not visible by the eye but leaking. Is there water on the outside of the tank?
          OR
You may still have water leaking from the water valve on the wall and not notice it.
Check it out let me know.
