Were in the process of selling our home, all was going well until the buyer asked for a septic system test. The inspector says we have wetness around the drain field and that it may need replaced. Could I get by with replacing the drainfield or does the whole thing need redone? The tank is a 1000 gallon concrete, is it salvageable or does this need replaced as well? Weve never had backups, odors, or any other problems. What kind of money am I looking at to get the system working properly again. I read on line that new systems run upwards of $20,000, Im hoping I have options other than this. Thanks in advance for any answers, Brent.
