I have a hot water system that is on all the time (ie. not on a timer). When the boiler comes on, around 5 seconds later the pipes start banging. They bang maybe 8-15 times then stop. Any ideas?
You do not specify what type of boiler, but it could be a Ray-Pak or other fin tube style. The banging could be from poor circulation and the noise is steam in the tubes.: I have a hot water system that is on all the time (ie. not on a timer).
