How do you sweat a copper joint with solder? Tricks and tips please.

Star:–Fastest lesson on soldering anywhere.1. thoroughly clean all parts to be soldered with sandcloth or steel wool (really shiny clean)2. Used a acceptable soldering flux on pieces to be soldered.3. Use a suitably sized torch for the job..heat the fitting only enough to draw the lead free solder into the joint. Allow joint to cool before moving. Clean excess soldering flux from work (to prevent external Corrosion).Congratulations..You have just completed Dr.Buds Wonder School of Soldering (You wonder if it will work) As with most things, practice makes perfect, so start practicing. Bud–thanks for the lesson–Ill go forth and create havoc and then most likely call someone like you to come and fix it! Dont you just love us amateurs?
