        I am looking for a simple method of calculating water pipe sizes required given supply pressure,flow rate length of run and rise. I have seen some software methods and text methods previously but welcome any new information available.

          Have you tried SF Pressure Drop 5.0? Its powerfull but easy to use. You can download the Shareware at http://www.pressure-drop.com
