I have a leaking, older model, sterling faucet with a bad washer seat. I can’t get the old one out. I have tried driving a square seat removing tool in it but the fixture is loose on the inside and I can’t get a solid hit. I don’t want to cut the wall on the other side to secure fixture unless I have no choice. Any ideas on removal?

Go to a decent hardware store and forget the seat wrench on an OLD faucet TRY getting several sizes of small extractors (easy outs)

They work in tight areas just go gently. Sterling is a decent faucet by the way.

Thanks, that makes good sense. I’ll try that tomorrow.
