A crack has developed in my old, yellow, Crane toilet tank. Although it is not severe, water is leaking, and I am afraid that the tank may experience a catastrophic rupture. Can I fix the problem by using silicon to seal the crack, and then perhaps put a tank liner in to stabilize the tank? I am having great difficulty finding a yellow tank to replace it, and don’t want to replace the sink, and bathtub which I would have to do if I bought a new toilet in a different colour. HELP!

Don’t take a chance,the tank will fail sooner or later and I can tell you first hand from my own experience it’s not something you want to happen. Gerbe offers a yello toilet that may be close to the color you have.Good luck
